Jia Wang has been a Young Leaders Cultivation (YLC) program-designated assistant professor at the Institute of Advanced Research, Nagoya University, since 2023. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2021. In recent years, his research has focused on doping-related material properties and the development of novel bipolar devices based on wide-bandgap semiconductors. He has published as first and corresponding author in journals such as Nature, IEEE Electron Device Letters, and Applied Physics Letters, and has coauthored over 30 international journal articles. He also holds four Japanese and US patents. His current research explores novel doping mechanisms in wide-band semiconductors, including gallium nitride, aluminum nitride, gallium oxide, and their related compounds.
